A good honest summer beer campaign

It’s always a joy to work on beer brands. Our friends at Hawke’s Brewing tapped us in to write their Christmas and summer outdoor campaigns under their brand platform Good Honest Beer. We leant heavily into the nostalgia surrounding the summer break and the rituals that truly define the run up to Christmas with a good dose of refreshing honesty. One of the center pieces of the campaign was a large format outdoor billboard that counted down the available ‘sick days’ people could take off to maximise the length of their Christmas break. And lord only knows we need those days off with the amount of ‘coldies’ we consume in summer.

Off the back of great pricing and a great Good Honest Beer campaign of course, this was the most successful Christmas sales period for Hawke’s Brewing in their history, doubling the volume sold year on year.
